Terms of participation for the competition “Collection Card Campaign”

Last updated: May 2026

1. Organiser

The organiser of the competition is RAL gGmbH, Fränkische Str. 7, 53229 Bonn, umweltzeichen@ral.de (“Organiser”). The competition is implemented by the agency publicgarden GmbH, Reinhardtstr. 33, 10117 Berlin, the agency Zum goldenen Hirschen Berlin GmbH, Schlesische Straße 26, 10997 Berlin and the agency Organic Marken-Kommunikation GmbH, Kasseler Straße 1a, 60486 Frankfurt.

2. Object of the competition

In the period from 01 June 2026, 00:00, to 31 October 2026, 23:59, the Organiser will organise a competition with the name “Collection Card Campaign” (the “Competition”).

3. Participation eligibility

(1) Natural persons who have reached the age of 18 and whose place of residence is in Germany are eligible to participate.

(2) Employees of the Organiser and their relatives and all persons involved in the creation/implementation of the competition are excluded from participating.

(3) Participation is only possible once per person. Multiple entries can lead to exclusion.

4. Participation requirements & procedure

(1) In order to participate, it is necessary for the participant to purchase six (6) products within the participation period, which are certified with the Blue Angel and display the Blue Angel logo on their packaging (“Promotional Product”).

(2) The Blue Angel logo (as shown in the illustration) is to be cut out of the packaging of the Promotional Product and affixed to the required areas on the collection card. The collection card is available from the Blue Angel stand at the Environmental Festival Berlin on 7 June 2026, from the BMUKN on the Open Day of the German Federal Government on 21+22 June 2026 and at any other events. In addition, the collection card is also available to download and print out from the campaign website blauer-engel.de/Sammelaktion. The institutions/third parties organising the above events are not connected to the competition.

(3) A photograph is to be taken of the inside of the completed collection card, with six (6) affixed Blue Angel logos. The photo must show the inside of the collection card in full and be easy to read.

(4) The photo is then to be uploaded in one of the following formats JPG/PNG by 31 October 2026, 23:59, at the latest via the campaign page blauer-engel.de/Sammelaktion/Teilnehmen and the participation form is to be completed (especially name/e-mail). A cross is to be placed next to one preferred prize out of the six prize options on the participation form.

(5) Uploads that are incomplete, late or do not meet the requirements will not be taken into account. Uploads with a file size larger than 5 MB also cannot be taken into account for technical reasons.

Note about image content: Exclusively photos that do not show any persons – especially no minors – or any addresses, receipts, sensitive data or other legally protected content may be uploaded. Uploads that do not meet these requirements can be excluded from the competition.

5. Participation fee/no entry payment

(1) Participation in the competition itself is free of charge.

(2) The purchase of a Promotional Product is a requirement for participation. The purchase price of the Promotional Product does not represent an “entry payment”; the Promotional Product is offered at the standard market price and purchased as a product independently of the competition.

(3) Only standard transmission costs (e.g. Internet connection) may be incurred for participation.

6. Prizes

The following prizes will be distributed among all of the valid entries:

1x smartphone, model Fairphone 5 5G worth €500

Cash payouts, exchanges or transfers of the prize are not permitted, unless required by law.
The Organiser reserves the right to replace a prize with an equivalent substitute, provided the original prize is not available for reasons that are not attributable to the Organiser.

7. Selecting the winners

(1) The winners will be selected after entries close on 3 November 2026 by being drawn at random from all of the valid entries.

(2) If a potential winner is unreachable or the requirements are not met, the prize may be redrawn or reawarded.

8. Winner notification & transfer of prizes

(1) Winners are notified by e-mail to the address provided upon entry within three (3) working days after the winners are selected. (3) If no timely response is received, the prize is forfeit and can be redrawn.

(4) Shipping takes place within six (6) weeks following successful verification.

9. Verification/evidence

(1) The Organiser is entitled to verify that the participation requirements have been fulfilled. To this end, the Organiser can, in particular, carry out spot checks by asking the winner to

  • Send in the original collection card by post or
  • Present suitable evidence of purchase (e.g. a redacted receipt showing only the date, retailer, product designation/code).

(2) If the evidence is not submitted in a timely manner or there is a suspicion of tampering, the prize can be withheld and reawarded.

(3) Data that is not required on evidence documents (e.g. payment method, other purchases) is to be redacted (data minimisation).

10. Rights to uploads (photo)/assurances

(3) Participants confirm that they hold all required rights to the photo and there is no infringement of third-party rights (copyrights/trademarks/personal rights).

(2) In the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations (material contractual obligations) due to slight negligence, liability is restricted to typically foreseeable damages.

(3) In all other cases, liability is excluded, where permitted by law. Legal claims according to the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remain unaffected.

13. Premature termination/changes

The Organiser reserves the right to adjust, suspend or prematurely terminate the competition for good cause, especially in the event of technical disruptions, tampering or legal reasons.
