Can silicone sealing material be a clean product?

Silicone and other joint sealing materials are high-performance construction materials protecting, for example, the bathroom from water seepage for many years. This property requires a complex mixture of chemicals, such as plasticizers or anti-mould agents. However, from the perspective of environmental protection and health the pollutant impact of such sealants on indoor areas must be low in order to guarantee the lowest possible emissions from these products.
