LIGNOPRO® 841 BSH-Varnish UV

LIGNOPRO® 841 BSH-Varnish UV is a water-thinnable mid-layer varnish based on ultra-fine pure acrylate. The product reduces the discolouration (darkening) of the wood caused by UV light. This is particularly advantageous when using very light colours or the colourless version indoors. Compatible with all commercially available types of glue. The coating material has a mild odour, forms a film, is block-resistant and is easy to apply. A long open time makes it possible to apply a second coat. The product forms a colourless or transparent, semi-glossy film with medium fullness through which the grain of the wood remains visible. In the coloured version, light-resistant pigments provide additional UV protection, which prevents the wood from greying due to lignin degradation. The glaze regulates moisture by protecting the wood from penetrating water and at the same time leaving it open to diffusion. The coating film is highly weather-resistant but does not flake off. Tested in accordance with DIN EN 71-3 (‘Safety of toys’) and DIN 53160 (‘Resistance to saliva and perspiration’).
