Why should we use „low-emission paints“?
Paints as a source of pollutants between one’s own four walls are under discussion because some products may contain alarming quantities of solvents, plasticizers and formaldehyde. The use of low-emission products carrying the Blue Angel helps to minimize possible health risks.

At the meeting of the Environmental Label Jury (Jury Umweltzeichen) in December 2017, they have decided that they will not conclude any new contracts for matt white wall paint if those wall paint contains biocides (MIT and / or CIT) for in-can preservatives. Existing contracts on the use of the environmental label and applications for silk finish and pigmented wall paint are not affected.
