People who choose products with the Blue Angel make more environmentally friendly purchases – and also have a chance of winning. That is the core message of the new collection campaign, which draws attention directly to the ecolabel until the end of October. The process has been deliberately kept simple: anyone wanting to take part should buy six products with the Blue Angel, cut out the logos and stick them onto the collection card provided. The QR code on the card takes participants to the online form, where they can select their preferred prize and upload a photo of the card.
Attractive prizes from manufacturers
The prizes are sponsored by certified manufacturers themselves. This highlights the wide variety of products that have been awarded the ecolabel.
The following prizes can be chosen:
1x smartphone, model Fairphone 5 5G
1x stool, model UP from Interstuhl (colour of your choice)
2x DIY vouchers from toom
1x printer, Brother Print&Cut DCP-J1800DW 3-in-1 multifunction inkjet printer
5x shopping bags with certified household products
5x office packages with pens, paper products and organisers
Guidance for sustainable shopping
The collection campaign pursues a clear goal: it raises awareness of products with the Blue Angel among consumers. This makes it easier for them to make more environmentally friendly choices when shopping in the future. The government ecolabel offers credible, independent guidance for sustainable shopping. It can be found on a variety of products, from all-purpose cleaners to wrapping paper.
It is based on an assessment of the product, which takes its entire life cycle into account. This extends from production and use through to disposal and recycling. By specifically choosing products with the Blue Angel, consumers are deliberately supporting greater environmental protection, without the need for any extensive research. It is precisely this ease in everyday life that makes the campaign tangible.
