SEPAWA Congress – The leading industry event for detergents and cleaning agents
The SEPAWA Congress was once again among the most important European events for the detergents, cosmetics and perfumery industry this year. Experts from the German Environment Agency and RAL were on hand to answer attendees’ questions and provide information about the certification of washing-up liquid, laundry detergents and cleaning agents. A talk by Janine Braumann from the German Environment Agency on the impact of European legislation on environmental labels met with keen interest. The presentation shed light on the legal framework and its influence on laundry detergents and cleaning agents, while also highlighting the benefits of trustworthy environmental labels such as the EU Ecolabel and Blue Angel.
KOMMUNALE – Meeting place for sustainable public procurement
KOMMUNALE – a trade fair for all those responsible for procuring products and services in cities and municipalities – returned to Nuremberg two years after its last event. In addition to a joint information stand on the Blue Angel and the EU Ecolabel, Janine Braumann (German Environment Agency) gave a talk on the topic of “Making procurement processes more efficient: environmentally friendly procurement in compliance with public procurement law with the Blue Angel and the EU Ecolabel.” The talk explained the requirements on ecolabels with regard to procurement law, especially in relation to integrating quality marks into calls for tenders.
