The outdoor season is calling, and the Blue Angel is beginning this year’s event tour. Whether at themed open-air festivals or as part of citizens’ festivals, the team from the German Environment Agency (UBA), RAL and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety is looking forward to meeting interested consumers and sharing information with experts from science and business.

For the 31st time: Environmental Festival at the Brandenburg Gate

This year’s Environmental Festival in the capital is once again a must-attend event for anyone from Berlin and Brandenburg with an interest in environmental issues. On 7 June from 11am to 6pm, the event, now in its 31st year, will revolve around the societal importance of environmental issues and practical tips on how to act sustainably. As in previous years, the event with the theme “Soil – You Stand on It” will be held on Straße des 17. Juni in Berlin’s Tiergarten. Alongside information and hands-on activities from environmental NGOs, associations and governmental institutions, a full-day stage programme is on offer with cultural contributions and talks. The Blue Angel has organised a papermaking activity especially for younger visitors and the Blue Angel photo wall is available for visitors’ own social media feeds. For all those with a steady hand and plenty of skill, certified prizes are also up for grabs in our claw machine.

To kick off the summer: the government extends an invitation and the Blue Angel stops by

Just a few hundred metres away, the Blue Angel bike will be stopping by again a few weeks later. Anyone wanting to experience firsthand the place where the framework for environmental protection is created at a federal level will be able to find out more on 20 and 21 June 2026 in Berlin’s Stresemannstraße. Under the slogan “The government extends an invitation”, the federal government’s departments will be opening their doors to politically interested guests from near and far for the first time on a weekend in June.

Despite the new date, the federal government’s open day provides an opportunity to ask questions and get involved once again in 2026. The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) will be offering more than just wide-ranging information and interactive activities for all age groups on these two days. In 2026, the ministry will also be celebrating its 40th anniversary as an independent ministry responsible for the environment and nature conservation. To mark the occasion, guests will be offered a tour through the 40 years of ministry history from 1986 to the present day during the open day.

Address:
Stresemannstraße 128–130
(via Erna-Berger-Straße)
10117 Berlin

Save the date: the tour continues

But that’s not all. The team from the UBA, RAL and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety will be bringing the government ecolabel into the conversation on many other expert panels and at trade fairs and conferences across the country. How the Blue Angel enables conscious decisions and a contribution to environmental protection to be made will also be demonstrated in a fun and stimulating way at festivals and cultural events later in the year. Information about upcoming events and other activities over the course of 2026 is provided here on the website and on our social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
