Soil under our feet, the environment on our mind: the Blue Angel at the Environmental Festival in Berlin
Glorious sunshine, good vibes and plenty of green ideas: on 7 June 2026, the Environmental Festival once again transformed Straße des 17. Juni in Berlin’s Tiergarten into a green promenade. This year’s theme: “Soil – Stand Up for What’s Beneath You.” Among the information stands from NGOs, associations and government institutions, families and anyone interested in the environment immersed themselves deeply in the topic of soil protection, while talks and a cultural programme entertained the audience on stage.
The Blue Angel was also there: the youngest visitors, in particular, proudly made their own paper angels out of recycled paper at our stand. They also put their skills to the test on the claw machine and, if they were lucky, took a certified product home with them.
Between the activities, we enjoyed chatting with a large number of visitors. Almost every conversation had one topic in common: green advertising claims, a bewildering jungle of seals and the eternal price issue often make environmentally friendly consumption unnecessarily complex. This is precisely where the Blue Angel comes in – it offers guidance as an independent label. A huge thank you to the team from Grüne Liga for organising such a thoroughly successful event!
Open day, open questions: the Blue Angel at the Federal Ministry for the Environment Open Day
Two days, an open house, a big turnout: the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) attracted visitors from all over Germany to its open day on 20 and 21 June 2026 – and also celebrated an anniversary: the ministry was established 40 years ago as an independent institution responsible for environmental and nature conservation. In keeping with this, a tour led visitors through four decades of ministry history, from 1986 to the present day.
We chatted to many visitors at the Blue Angel stand. Saturday brought a particular highlight, when Federal Minister Carsten Schneider dropped by our stand and learned first-hand about the latest developments at the Blue Angel. Our youngest guests were also keen to get involved: they made their own angels out of recycled paper and took an exercise book certified with the Blue Angel home with them. We would like to extend our special thanks to the BMUKN – and all of the visitors who found their way to our stand – for their warm welcome.
The Blue Angel at EDEKA Family Day at Europa-Park
Rollercoasters hurtled by, merry-go-rounds whirled round and round and, right in the middle of it all, our Wheel of Fortune was spinning: at the traditional EDEKA Family Day by EDEKA Südwest on 5 July 2026, Europa-Park in Rust welcomed a host of customers to enjoy a day full of culinary delights – and the Blue Angel was there with its own stand. The Family Day has been a firm fixture on the park’s summer calendar for over 30 years; visitors to the numerous activity stands discovered interesting information about food and sampled a wide range of regional specialities.
At our stand, guests of all ages gave the Wheel of Fortune a spin and put their knowledge to the test in our challenging quiz. Among the rides and the food trucks, we made the most of the opportunity to chat with families and present the Blue Angel as a reliable guide in everyday life.
