The Blue Angel has always made it a primary objective to ensure the health and safety of our youngest ones.

To this aim new criteria have been developed for textile toys as, for example, rag dolls and teddies. They include essential requirements for an ecological production of natural raw materials and the avoidance of health-damaging chemicals in the product. The criteria have been developed by the German Umweltbundesamt (Federal Environmental Agency) with the involvement of the Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR) (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment).
