Electronic Ballasts for Fluorescent Lamps
Benefits to health and environment
Electronic ballasts help to save power and extend the live of fluorescent lamps
About 10% of the total electric power consumption in Germany is used for lighting. The most widely used light source in lighting for working purposes is the fluorescent lamp. The conventional technology (inductor, starter) can be replaced by electronic ballasts that operate the fluorescent lamp more efficiently and offer an improved light quality. These ballasts are not integrated into the lamp. Their useful life is several times longer than that of a fluorescent lamp. Additional power saving can be achieved in combination with integrated dimmers.
- high power saving
- reduced CO2 emissions
