Road traffic noise is highly influenced by the rolling noise of the tires. Low-noise tires could reduce traffic noise by half. Such noise reduction would be even higher on highways and country roads. In addition, the lower rolling resistance of Blue Angel-labelled tires can help reduce fuel consumption by as much as 5%.
