RAL gGmbH

The Label-Awarding Agency

RAL gGmbH is responsible for awarding the Blue Angel eco-label. Its tasks are to receive the individual applications from members of industry and to check their compliance with the requirements as well as the completeness all compliance verifications. In doing so, RAL gGmbH obtains comments from the applicant’s home state (Land). If all requirements for award of the eco-label are met RAL gGmbH and the applicant conclude a Contract on the Use of the Environmental Label.

In addition, RAL gGmbH organizes and holds the expert hearings for the purpose of developing new eco-labels and revising the existing ones.
